Penguins marched around the White House in Washington D.C. protesting against the global warming. Sakari Heikkilä tells us more.
I'm here near the White House and I have the penguin leader with me. Tell me how did you get here and why are you here?
"My name is Anuuk. We swam from the South Pole, also known as Antarktis, to Madagaskar and there we took a flight to Greenland, and then we continued our pleasant journey to Washington D.C. We are very concerned about the global warming, because it is melting our home ice, and US is one of the biggest greenhouse gas releasers."
The penguins seem to be a quite angry to the US goverment. Also, Anuuk's wife, Schinuuk told me that they've followed the process of global warming a quite long time, and it obviously is increasing. Also, she said that they've been in contact with the polar bears, and yet the penguin and polar bear scientist have worked together to predict the future, which is very dark for them. So penguins have very good reasons to be concerned about the global warming.
This was Santeri Heikkilä in Washington D.C.
Thank you Santeri. This was today's headline. My name is Sakari Sukkula, and we meet again tomorrow at the same time. Goodbye!
Info about this
Well, it was my class's homework in English to make three Radio headlines (the first "chapter"), and in the lesson today we had to write a story about one of the headlines in groups, so my group picked this up, and well, mostly I was the only one writing this stuff.
