Energy Drinks Discussion

Postby Mortis » Mon Aug 18, 2008 16:17

Since we don't have talk pages (yet?) in the wiki we will have to discuss the Evaluative List of Drinks here :D

So. To boot this topic out, there's a new Mad Croc flavour coming onto the market soon. Sadly there's nothing about it on their new Finnish website so far, and the the English one is equally terrible.

In other news, I received a reply to an inquiry I had sent off to Red Bull regarding their "Cola" drink:

Moi Simo

Energisin terveisin
Janina

It states that the Finnish marketplace is not "mature enough" for "this new tasty drink" and that there aren't even any plans at this stage to launch the drink here. How much more energy drinks do we have to drink to get this thing over here? :?

The word is "Privacy", not "Paranoia"! :{}

Simo is the man who does all the dirty work for us ;)
If you want to be happy for a day, drink alcohol. If you want to be happy for a year, get yourself married. If you want to be happy for the rest of your life, start gardening. - An old Chinese aphorism.

Let's focus back on the task at hand! I've just received a note from a Tokmanni representative to my question regarding introducing the Spam 4-pack in their stores:

Spam 4-pack on hinnaltaan ongelmallinen, joutuisimme hinnoittelemaan 4-pack:n kalliimmaksi kuin neljä irrallista tölkkiä.
Edellä mainitusta syystä emme usko riittävään menekkiin moni pakkauksena.

A tragedy! According to this response, they would be forced to price the 4-pack higher than four individual cans, and thus it seems as though we'll never get the 4-pack...

Thats really a shame, it would be nice to just grab that 4-pack instead of 4 serperate cans... I would probably like 6-pack more though, would work better for LAN parties since 4-packs would be a little bit too small.

I was also wonderin' why they would need to give it bigger price tag...

my favorite energy drink is Amp. Made by the makers of Mt. Dew. It's essentially a citrus flavored soda with about quadruple the caffeine. An unprepared individual will receive the shakes from consuming such things.

We've just done a massive update to the energy drink database with Ripatius - a whopping six new drinks at once! :D And we're still cancer-free! ...I think...

The energy drinks in question are:

    Battery Juiced
    Ener-G
    MiXXed Up
    Rockstar
    Rockstar Juiced
    Rockstar Sugar Free
    Perfect Red Force

Do check them out at http://www.slowdays.org/kaka/pie.php?Evaluative_List_of_Drinks!

The interesting features of these drinks were that Perfect Red Force is the most juice-like energy drink that we've sampled so far, and Ener-G is simply ghastly, with Rockstar's Sugar Free variant not coming too far behind in foul taste.
