Firefox Extensions:
Crash Recovery: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1955/

Also! I tested out the following PDF reader applications today:
CAD-KAS PDF Reader
eXPert PDF Reader
PDFActive Reader
Nitro PDF Professional

...and found out that Foxit Reader beat them all hands down. Now I'm waiting for Smeagol to write a proper PDF reader ^_^

I additionally found a speedup fix for Adobe Reader, though, available at (for instance) http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/1069854583/1.

https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/28/ Duplicate Tab!

Should we split a topic for Firefox plugins only?

Okay, I detached these posts from the previous "Recommended Software" thread to keep this purely for Mozilla products. Perhaps we can broaden the horizon to Thunderbird (or other Mozilla-based programs), too, if need be, but for now this will probably do!

Without further ado, some new add-ons:

TinyURL bookmarklet:
javascript:void(window.open('http://tinyurl.com/create.php?url='+document.location.href));

Public Fox, "Tired of cleaning stuff people download? Use this to limit file downloading. Prevent browser changes."
OpenSearchFox, used to create new searches automatically
Splash, adds a customizable splash screen loading bar.
Dictionary Switcher, does what it says!
Save Session versus Session Manager

Clone Window Clones the current tab's address and history into a new window when the New Window command is used (and optionally into a new tab when the New Tab command is used).

Copy Plain Text:
Have you ever copied something to Thunderbird or Office and been annoyed that the text formatting (bold, font size, etc) came with it? Don't you wish you could just copy the text itself, without having to copy it, paste it into notepad, then copy it again? This extension gives you an option to copy text without the formatting. You can even set it to trim extra space in and around the copied text!

Bookmark Sync and Sort solved the bookmark syncing issue with my father's dual boot Macbook. It uploads the bookmarks file to a server of your designation and downloads it whenever the programs are opened (if you so wish). Thus changes made to bookmarks in one OS register in both.

I wouldn't even consider dual booting without some solution of this type. There are some similar alternatives in the add-ons database if anyone is interested.

Here are two pertinent add-ons, Go Parent Folder and Show Parent Folder, out of which the other (Go Parent Folder) replaces the good old "Locate in Bookmarks Folder Addon".

Sadly both are still in the AMO sandbox, so you need to have a login (i.e. Bugmenot) to be able to install them.

Something useful for bookmark freaks like me: Multirow Bookmarks Toolbar 2.3! >:D

For those that have yet to jump on the Firefox 3 tag boat, TagSifter might be the necessary component: It does to tags what Sage-Too does to RSS reading! :)

I haven't a clue as to whether these add-ons are worth recommending, but certainly worthy of interest: Wired-Marker and Hyper-Anchor :p
