A demo of F.E.A.R. Extraction Point has been released. You can get it at ftp://ftp.sierra.com/pub/sierra/fear/de ... emo_en.exe

There's a noteworthy bit to mention - it's been made by TimeGate Studios instead of Monolith. Interesting to see how it holds up.

To comment on the F.E.A.R. Combat installation, the installation takes 3.45 GB of space. Not only does it want you to have PunkBuster and GameSpy Arcade (both of which are voluntary, luckily, though I've yet to find out how it affects joining servers and such if you don't have them), it forces the newest DirectX on you without choice.

Also, inputting the 4x5 digit serial key takes serious time and you need to scroll down the legal agreement before you can click next.

All in all, pretty bad performance.
