A third "major" demo for a new indie (albeit commercial - don't hold it against it, Kaptain Brawe will be commercial at some point as well) game was released. The game in question is "Al Emmo", and you can get the demo from AdventureGamers: http://www.adventuregamers.com/article/id,647/
Reactor 09 Released!

Bernhard Politsch, or "Bernie" as he is called in the indie game making community, is a true lighthouse of fantastic magic as far as games go. Earlier he's been mostly known for initiating projects that never came to their fruition, but as of lately, he's been able to keep his schedules and output several excellent-quality games.
With every game he releases, expectations rise. He's released Skyhammer (an abandoned, unfinished version), a demo for Sedge's Personal Hell, Cedric and the Revolution, A Game with a Kitty and Darkside Adventures this far.
Now, just on the tails of AGwaK:DA comes Sector 09.
Great stuffs, and with more games on the horizon... he's already made a big mark on the community and it will definitely get larger with every subsequent game.

Escaping from a prison is never easy. But doing it with a correctional officer's consent is even harder. Officer Matthew Holmstett is a walking, talking regulation book and has his own set of ideals. Getting him to do what you want won't be an easy task. Don't overdo it, or you may find yourself handcuffed to a radiator very fast. Nobody trusts someone convicted for murder that easily after all...

Super Jazz Man Released!
Herculean Effort's latest game, Super Jazz Man, has been released just suitably for Christmas vacations.
The downside(?) is that it costs 8.95$, and there is no word on payment methods yet. I'll keep you posted on it.

The game puts you in the unitard and cape of a musical superhero who waits tables at the Zanzibar restaurant under the cover of night. After playing a weekend concert that revolutionizes the local airwaves, our saxophonist receives a phone call at work.
Super Jazz Man explores the fundamental elements of an adventure, unfolding locations with the progression of the narrative while featuring nostalgic low-color graphics. Play through four unique endings!
I bought Super Jazz Man as xmas present for myself, and finished it.
I can't say I'm disappointed, but not especially exhilarated either... I will be writing a review on it, as will I on Reactor 09, which on the other hand blew me away.
I wouldn't say SJM was less good, but since it had a price tag, and Reactor 09 didn't, the whole anticipation thing was entirely reversed.
More on these soon!

The Blackwell Legacy has been reviewed at AdventureGamers, receiving 3½/5 stars.
Furthermore, a CD-ROM version of the game has been released, you can find the WadjetEye store at http://wadjeteyegames.com/store/ Gilbert comments on it:

Re: Promising Indie Adventures!
Super Jazz Man has also been reviewed at AdventureGamers, also receiving 3½ stars!
Check it out!
The story, while not particularly epic or revolutionary, manages to be quite fun regardless. I found the twist on your average superhero tale to be refreshingly unique, taking me back to those days when even outlaw bikers and pharmacists could be adventure gaming heroes.
Check it out!
Re: Al Emmo gets the P3N1S Award
The P3N1S (and frankly unfair) Award, for best bad game, or worst good game: Al Emmo and the Lost Dutchman's Mine by Himalaya Studios
I'll agree with that 100%! The rest of the AGS award results this year were a bit meh.
