On Sunday we recived notification of a server (on which your files are being kept too) not responding. I received error notification at 22 and I left to investigate the issue at our server room. We found out the file hard drive had crashed. A new hard drive was installed and we begun returning data from backups. Around midnight the machine also seemed to lose its memory etc, after which I decided to transfer all websites residing on the server onto a temporary server that is, at the moment, in developmental use.
On Monday we acquired a new server (with the whole shebang) onto which we begun returning the archived backups. The returning was halted by a problem with operating system version differences, which pushed the returning further back. Around 16 we found out a full dump transfer didn't work and installation of the server begun from scratch, after which user files would be manually transferred into the system. 19:30 the system was finished enough for us to unplug the backup machine and start up the new server for productional use.
