Yeah, it's exactly the Gaim-VV news that are important for the whole of the messaging community; it's going to change the power balance between all of the applications: After having voice/video in Gaim, there is no reason to use any other application, period. I would only stay with Miranda if they m...

Gaim vs. Miranda IM

Gaim
Miranda IM

Did anyone notice the latest, superb if I may add, Gaim news? Miranda guys are going to be in a tough place once the new v2.0.0 features pour in. It's interesting since I'm definitely a Miranda man myself Smile

Columba is very high in my books right now, it has the best set of importers I've seen, a very good layout, the only problem is that it has been written in Java. Sylpheed is right behind, or both programs are largely similar. Very good. Very good. Sylpheed's problems are in the realm of displaying ...

PhoenixMail, written in Delphi Rolling Eyes It wasn't as bad as I expected, in fact, it was okay - featureless, though - very bare, and had no importing features at all.
Columba, written in Java. This one is great.

You all know Eudora at least by name. It is currently making me go through all this, and I still don't understand why. Despite the advertising gimmick I think it's the best one out there - by far, in fact. I've used it since day one, I sort of inherited it from my father. He's had it for his mail si...

Pegasus Mail reminds me of Forté Agent , a news reader, interface- and look-feel-wise. I used to read my newsgroups with Agent like five years ago when I was reading newsgroups. It's not bad at all. Just not really "hip" as far as the graphics go. This guy is gonna install it: http://www.eweek.com/...

Foxmail and Pocomail are a bit too candy-coated for me. Not really digging that. A bit like Thunderbird, but even more flashy. I don't need to be handed out all the features in a snazzy form - I just want the barebones. Don't know about the rest of you.

W32 E-mail Clients

Wow. I didn't know all these existed, even. Apart from Outlook, Thunderbird and Eudora, there's pretty many moderately formidable e-mail clients out there for Windows... ones that aren't screw-off-sharewares, either. Mozilla Thunderbird Qualcomm Eudora ( Eudora Rescue ) Pegasus Mail Sylpheed Foxmail...

Copyprotection in CDs

Well, this was the last straw; Sure, I don't really buy copyprotected cds if I can - usually it's no hassle, I can avoid them with CDEx easily, no problem there, my players play the cds... But today at school, I took Japan's Gentlemen Take Polaroids with me. It doesn't play here without installing a...

Ahahaha Now those are beginning to be what you would call "grade A" spam. But honest! What the fuck is this crap! They aren't ripping people off, they aren't selling anything, they're just wasting the last 10% of the free resources not already used by spam. I wonder where I saw that figure, they est...
