Re: New Forum Theme Coming Up!

The Slowdown theme is a work-in-progress, obviously, as is the blog itself... I'll turn it off in the public area for now.

Re: Me, Myself and Forums

Looking back, my habits haven't changed to one direction or another, as I still prefer reading over writing by quite the margin. I often only consider responding when I feel I have something concrete or acute that contributes to the discussion. Otherwise, I cannot really justify to myself spending t...

Re: Recommend software

I tried this one once and the only problem was, the scan was really really slow, it took ages and actually I had to abort it since I didn't have the patience You're right in that the program is slow, mostly due to its hacked-together nature... the UI is moderately poor and it performs less than ste...

Re: Google Chrome

Well I hope this isn't a surprise to anyone, that anything you send to the internets isn't under your control anymore whatever any law, EULA, ToS or internet daddy says. Information wants to be free. That's a fantastic way of putting it :) I think people still get surprised by such occurrences not ...

Re: Energy Drinks Discussion

Let's focus back on the task at hand! I've just received a note from a Tokmanni representative to my question regarding introducing the Spam 4-pack in their stores: Spam 4-pack on hinnaltaan ongelmallinen, joutuisimme hinnoittelemaan 4-pack:n kalliimmaksi kuin neljä irrallista tölkkiä. Edellä mainit...

Energy Drinks Discussion

Since we don't have talk pages (yet?) in the wiki we will have to discuss the Evaluative List of Drinks here :D So. To boot this topic out, there's a new Mad Croc flavour coming onto the market soon. Sadly there's nothing about it on their new Finnish website so far, and the the English one is equal...

Three file tools by Piriform Ltd:

Defraggler, CCleaner and Recuva. The first cleans up the registry, the second defrags and the last one recovers deleted files. All free though not open source.

For subtitle-related functionality (converting from one format to another, for instance, or fixing a timing issue), Subtitle Workshop is the best I've used.
